Yona Speidel (aka Our Lady J) is an Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated writer, director, and producer, best-known for writing television shows including TRANSPARENT, POSE, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, and the upcoming summer 2026 Netflix series, THE BOROUGHS. Before Yona's career in television, she toured the world performing as a pianist and musical director for pop, theatre, and classical music, and was the first out trans woman to perform at Carnegie Hall. In addition to her Emmy and Golden Globe noms, Yona has received two Peabody Awards, three American Film Institute awards, three Writers Guild Award nominations and two NAACP Image Award nominations.
